Minutes with Mary

Something That Grows Over Time

Some connections don’t happen all at once—they grow, quietly, over time.
Mary and Aunt Eleanor standing together on a rocky overlook, looking out over the ocean with a peaceful and reflective mood

The view stretches far beyond what Mary can take in all at once.

Water. Sky. Distant land fading into the horizon.

She stands beside Aunt Eleanor, saying very little.

There isn’t a need to.

Some moments don’t ask for words.

Mary thinks back to when she first arrived.

Everything felt new.
A little uncertain.
A step into something she wasn’t quite sure about.

But now, something feels different.

Not suddenly.
Not in a way she can clearly explain.

Just… different.

She glances toward Aunt Eleanor.

There is a quiet understanding between them now—
built through small conversations, shared moments, and time spent side by side.

Mary begins to understand:

Some of the most important things in life
don’t appear all at once.

They grow slowly.

They take shape over time.

And often, you don’t notice them fully
until you stop and look back at where you started.
